How to get involved!

To get involved with Chico Creek Capital, all students are welcome to join and participate in weekly meetings, regardless of major or prior financial experience. However, to become an analyst, you are required to complete a series of training courses, which include the completion of your Bloomberg Finance Fundamentals (BFF) certification. This process ensures all our members can actively participate equipped with basic knowledge of finance and accounting principles and be able to use the tools needed for further responsibilities in the club.

Member Progression

Trainee

As a trainee, you’ll gain foundational knowledge about investment management and portfolio analysis. You are required to attend at least 80% of meetings to remain active, ensuring full participation in stock discussions and decision-making. Members are also encouraged to begin their certification process by completing the Bloomberg Market Concepts course, which provides a solid understanding of key financial concepts.

Junior Analyst

Once you’ve completed the 8 hour Bloomberg Finance Fundamentals certification, you’ll be promoted to Junior Analyst. In this role, you will contribute to sector research, perform company analysis, and assist Senior Analysts in preparing stock pitches. Junior Analysts are expected to actively participate in discussions, supporting the research and recommendations for potential portfolio adjustments.

Senior Analyst

Senior Analysts take on a leadership role, guiding Junior Analysts in sector research and leading in-depth financial analysis. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting stock pitches to the group, making data-driven recommendations on buying or selling assets. Senior Analysts also play a key role in voting on portfolio changes and ensuring that all research is thorough and well-documented.

Fund Manager

As a Fund Manager, you oversee the overall strategy and performance of the investment portfolio. You will lead discussions on asset allocation, sector weightings, and portfolio adjustments. In addition to guiding Junior and Senior Analysts, Fund Managers are responsible for presenting portfolio updates and performance reviews to stakeholders. ensurin that the fund aligns with long-term financial goals while managing risk and maximizing returns.

Junior Analyst Application
